All of the people are affected. People suffer, dying, and being the source or carrier of the virus. Because of this, there are precautions prepared by government officials. However, because everything was so abrupt, the presented solution was also abrupt. Science discovered a vaccine, but many people are afraid that Science doesn’t have the answer. A mandatory vaccination was released focusing on the senior citizens, people with health conditions, and the working class. The people are categorized as A1, A2, and A3. But the major question is should it be mandatory or voluntary. Many studies showed that vaccine does not a hundred percent (100%) guarantee that people vaccinated will not be infected with the virus anymore. In this paper, two (2) important claims are made and will be justified. All in all, the main point is not to stop giving the vaccine to people who want it, but never force or make it mandatory for people who don’t want to be vaccinated because everything forced is against the human rights law. It is against humans and removes the freedom of a person. Many are being removed from work, being criticized for not being vaccinated which should not be the case. It should be on a free will of a person to decide what to do with his/her/their body. Support 1: First, the covid-19 vaccine should not be mandatory because current evidence shows individuals develop stronger immunity to the virus once naturally expose to it. There are millions of survivors from covid before even the vaccine was out for the public. Therefore, people can cope up and be able to fight against the vaccine naturally. And also, the vaccine is not a cure for people who got infected by the virus. Support 2: The second point is that the vaccine should not be mandatory because we don’t have long-term evidence of the vaccination’s safety and side effects. Most vaccines are tested for ten years or more before being released for proper usage. But because of pressure, different political views, people trying to be well-known for giving cures, everything happened so fast that there is not much time for science to tell that it is highly effective. All are just based on fast-phase study and experimentations. This way is not reliable for a lot of people. It makes confusion and trusts issues to people towards the vaccine, therefore it is just appropriate not to make it mandatory.Opposite view: The opposing view regarding mandate is that the vaccine protects yourself and those around you. They believe getting vaccinated will protect those who cannot get vaccinated, including infants, or people with immune systems weakened by things like chemotherapy for cancer. My responsibility is only for myself and my family. Arts & Humanities English ENG1B 1B
