Climate ChangeCollapse In the article “Wildlife Collapse From Climate Change Is Predicted to Hit Suddenly and Sooner” by The New York Times talked about the negative effects on climate change. When reading the article I was really mind blown and took me by surprise how serious it is. I knew that climate change did affect our planet but not to the extent. Affecting many animal species which have a huge effect on the ecosystems. Not only does it affect the wildlife but it has a huge effect on us humans that depend on them.In the article is states “More than a million plant and animal species are at risk of extinction because of the myriad ways humans are changing the earth by farming, fishing, logging, mining, poaching and burning fossil fuels.” There are daily things that we do that we do not think affect our environment without even thinking about it. Things that we would not stop doing for example farming and fishing that is our way of growing and finding food. We do not know how fast or how slow we could start seeing the negative effects on our planet.It does not only affect on land but also animals in water. We need to stop climate change in order to prevent the extinction of thousands of species. The claims that were made in the article do make sense in order to protect our species we do need things for the better. We do not notice the negative effect we are having and sooner or later we are not going to be able to control it. We can not predict when things will happen and what effects it could have to us and our community. I feel like if we do not start taking care of things our species will become extinct and there would be an imbalance. An imbalance that would take many years to get it right I feel like is like the food chain.
