Answer the following question using complete sentences. Your answershould be a substantial paragraph (five or six sentences at least] with description proving your points [remember to state how or why you know something/have that opinion]: -How was the Mona Lisa a shift in the style of portraiture during the Renaissance? Name three ways.Your Answer: The Mona Lisa had a huge impact on the Renaissance and succeeding periods, transforming current portrait painting. The three way is: -The three-quarter posture became the standard in portrait painting after Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. -Da Vinci’s preparatory drawings inspired other painters to create greater and more free studies for their paintings, as well as collectors of those sketches. -Leonardo even had an impact on how artists dressed their subjects. The Mona Lisa wonderfully exemplifies this component of his philosophy, as La Giaconda wears a coloured shift with open pleats at the neck, rather than the tight garments that were popular at the time. This is my professor feedback for my answer: Good job! Tell me a bit more about what you mean for point number 2 and a little more explanation of how and why the shift in clothing was different.  2. Answer the following question using complete sentences. Your answer should be a substantial paragraph (sentences at least] with description proving your points [remember to state how or why you know something/have that opinion]: -What does the term Neoclassical mean (generally) and why might the Neoclassical style be useful in certain political climates? (i.e. why might Thomas Jefferson have chosen Neoclassicism as a representative style for the early United States?)Your Answer:Neoclassicism was a Western cultural movement that took influence from classical antiquity’s art and culture in the decorative and visual arts, literature, theater, music, and architecture. Neoclassicism arose in Rome, largely as a result of Johann Joachim Winckelmann’s writings, around the time of the rediscovery of Pompeii and Herculaneum, but it quickly spread throughout Europe as a generation of European art students completed their Grand Tour and returned home with newly rediscovered Greco-Roman ideals. The major Neoclassical trend began with the Age of Enlightenment in the 18th century and extended into the early 19th century, vying laterally with Romanticism. The style was popular in architecture during the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Neoclassicism appealed to 19th-century political leaders because it emphasized a sense of obligation to a higher cause, such as one’s country or ruler, as well as a sense of decorum and appropriateness. The growing “naturalism” of landscapes reflects these features. Please view my professor feedback:Good explanation of Neoclassicism, but connect it more to Jefferson and what a new “United States” architecture could be  Arts & Humanities English ARTH 300
